![]() Quicktime playing the same movie looks complete different from “Apple Palette”, very clean & feels like “the color that producer intended”.I am wondering if theres some hackish method or plist to edit somewhere to offer stronger. When you slide it to zero, you can see the backlight dim through lower levels of brightness that would be just fine. and then when you crank the brightness from 7 to 8 out of 16, the “Apple Palette” suddenly darken. In very dark rooms, the keyboard backlight on the MBA M2 is way too bright even on its lowest setting using the slider in Control Center.when you lower the brightness to 0 (MacBook Pro miniled screen will turn off) and crank up the brightness UNTIL 7 out of 16, the “Apple Palette” color looks completely different, it seems better but the brightness is over brightened and more noise than Quicktime too.pressing 'brighter' does not increment from the brightness setting applied in the terminal, but from the 'usual' minimum brightness that you achieve using the keyboard. However, pressing any brightness level button seems to reset this setting, i.e. when you play HDR movie with “apple Palette”, the details & color & contrast looks very wrong, Works for me in Ubuntu 12.04 on a Macbook Air (integrated Graphics only). The “Apple Palette” seems to looks fine on the 240-1000 nits clipping test, BUT.Screen recording is not 10 bit so it doesn’t accurately reflect the color issue in real life, but should be enough to get the idea: ![]() I recommend everyone to stay away from Apple Palette until it’s fixed. Apple recommends contacting Apple support if low power mode and limited brightness persists and. ![]() I keep my iMac's brightness between 13/16 or 14/16. Funny how everyone's brightness preferences are different. Here are my specs: OS - Ubuntu 20.04.1 LTS 64-bit Device - iMac mid 2011 21.5 inch Processor - Intel Core i5-2400S CPU 2.50GHz × 4 Graphics - AMD Turks / AMD Turks Screen - 1920 by 1080 pixel. Agreed that this appears to be a feature. Works with Touch Bar too you may have to also hold Fn to show the expanded Control Strip if you have that off by default. There’s obviously something very wrong with infuse’s “Apple Color Palette”, It’s not the same as Quicktime and there are bug too. Let your display cool down for 5-10 minutes, then press any key on the keyboard to wake your Mac. The lowest settings turns mine right off, one dot up I can barely read anything. There is: hold Option+Shift while tapping the Brightness Down button to lower in quarter increments. Hi, I tested on my MacBook using the same Spiderman Homecoming at 50:27 quoted (that Vincent from HDTVtest reviewed too),
